First of all: 
Yes, at the moment many of the fair fashion brands are more expensive than usual brands you might shop at but who therefore use sweatshop labour. But you have to keep in mind that the mayority of the following brands provide higher quality items that will last you longer so you don't have to rebuy items that often which will save you money and many labourours lives eventually. 
I tried to pick some brands that produce somehow mainstream clothing since there're many lables who just look somehow very "eco" which isn't what I am personally aiming for. Also I included some well known brands who aren't 100% ethical right now but are putting effort into hetting there which is worth supporting in my opinion as well as the fact that these brands are more likley accesible to the mayority of you all over the world.
